The entire resort looked like it need capital improvements. Many parts of the building (under roof at balcony, door frames, bathrooms, etc. look like they could be sanded and a fresh coat of paint added. Some of the appliances were old and not working well.

We were in the Grand resort and it was just steps from the ocean. Beautiful view. We also did the Bio Luminescent tour which was fabulous as well as snorkeling at Stingray City.

There was not significant pressure to take The Tour, hence Timeshare sales pitch. Unlike the Grand Mayan in Nuevo Vallarta where they were very pushy, in the Morritts it was more like an offer to explore the Resort with minimum bother to us. We did not take the tour and we were left alone.

You can't control the weather -- but it did rain every day Sunday 5-20-12 through Saturday 5-26-12 when we left for St. Thomas. Because of this, we were very glad we picked the Grand Resort over the Tortuga Club -- however, we did wish they had more of a variety of restaurant choices or at least more choices on the menus from the 2 restaurants.

The room had a very well equipped kitchen. The ocean view was spectacular. The king sized bed was quite comfortable. The infinity pool was great with plenty of seating. The beach was nice and was swimmable if you were careful to avoid the coral. Our checkout was smooth. Leon's guided tour was worth the $.

Ocean view room was great. Large unit and a jet tub was great. There are a lot of fish in the water around Morritt's Resorts, which makes for wonderful snorkeling experience. Beautiful beach.
