Amidst 28 acres of quiet gardens and along a private beach lies the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Golf & Spa Resort, Los Cabos. "Amazing kind, professional, helpful, smiling staff. From the first moment you arrive they make you feel like a VIP and even part of their family. Room was adequate, pool area lovely. One complaint I do have is the quality and the price of food available. Cost of all food and drinks were very high yet the quality was mediocre at best. Its a shame. We ended up renting a car and left resort for better fare elsewhere"

- Dixie L."I absolutely LOVE this resort but I have increasing concerns about the attitudes of the staff at the Hacienda. The check-in experience -- and in general -- the front desk staff were not welcoming, not pleasant and just so distracted and aloof. The bell men are actually quite nice, upbeat, and engage you in friendly conversation. I have no issue with them. The service at the Gerasoles restaurant is incredibly slow, way too laid back, and little to no follow-up once food is served. Waiting on refills, etc. Another favorite of mine is their Tomatoes Restaurant. I love to have breakfast each day of my vacation there. I have increasingly noticed there too that they are rushing around, cleaning tables, hurrying here and hurrying there, but end up lacking in customer service. Some of them are excellent, but in general I feel walk away feeling the experience was quantity of people served over quality. And lastly, the waiters at the pool area are awful. Not friendly. - Jean T."The resort was in an excellent location, not too close to the city but with in reasonable driving distance. Our first priority when going to Cabo was to see some whales and we went on a boat tour to make that happen, we did not get as close as I would have liked but only because the whales did not cooperate. Our flight out on Sunday got canceled so we stayed another night and got up early and had a great breakfast at the upstairs restaurant on property and I think we saw more whales then than when we were on the tour."

- Michael K."This resort has inadequate prventive maintenance. There is exposed rebar along the edges of broken flag stone steps up to my building. There are countless ares where flagstones are broken and missing. Lightting is very poor. I have nearly tripped several times and I am deliberately walking very slowly in non skid shoes. The way find signage is virtually nonexistent. I am in building 36. There is not one sign along the way to direct my other family members to this building to meet up with us. The room that I am in 3617 is very old and depressing. The sofa is stained. On the plus side, I asked for an outside table for my terrace to eat at and use my laptop outside and I got one very quickly with 4 chairs."

Great way to meet people. Also there were food demonstrations a couple of times as one of the pool activities. And when they were finished everyone who attended ate what was prepared. Also restaraunts at the resort were closed due to a large group being hosted at the hotel located adjacent to the timeshare resort. We were denied access to empty tables that were still vacant when we left after dinner. One monring I walked past 6 staff members without as much as a good morning. I have never complained about a hotel/resort on vacation, so this is a first, but the service was so poor that future guests need to know."

- Peter C."We had barely arrived and were having a drink at the bar when a sea turtle came ashore to lay its eggs. The concern of the entire staff for this creature was truly amazing. They protected her, called a naturalist who explained the habits of the turtle to the gathered crowd and we spent about 2 hours watching a national geographic event in PERSON!"

- Helen M."We went snorkling at Cabo Pulmo. It is a National Park about 2 hours from Cabo. It's not an easy drive (the last 6 miles are on a dirt road) but it was worth the trip. We got to snorkle with sea lions, lots of reef fish, and also got up close to 2 whales (in the boat)"

- Durlene H."The site is beautiful and I wish a shuttle could have been available to the medrano beach area. If there was one the reception staff did not let us know. In fact, when we arrived they tried to put us in one room instead of the two we had reservaed and paid for. We were also placed in a room which was very far from the beach and amenities. The housekeeping staff were great. However, the reception staff were really not as welcoming or informative."

Tons of great restaurants & activities in Cabo and great disounts available via Los Cabos Guide. Cabo is the cleanest, safest, and friendliest place in Mexico."

- Gabrielle Lynn M."we had a beautiful resort we are so glad we went to the Hacienda Del Mar we have been to a lot of resorts and this was one of the best , the staff was great and very friendly and the maid service was great and they supplied all the ammenties we needed with no questions asked and they made you feel like this was your home I would recommend it to anyone for a great relaxing hoilday except we did find that they we too high on meals and drinks so we cooked our own meals and had our drinks in our room but everything was so clean and the resort was so beautiful landscaped we just loved and we would go back again in the future "
