The resort was not luxurious, but very suitable to our needs. In fact, because of the compactness of the resort, it was easy to get to the pool and spa. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful.

This was meant to be a relaxing get-away at the beach and that it was. We had wonderful accommodations with a full kitchen and even a patio with a gas grill. There were wonderful restaurants within a short drive and a great Mexican Restaurant just next door. We came home very relaxed.

This was my first time staying at Carlsbad Beach Inn. My husband stayed with an exchange week. Carlsbad Inn’s location to restaurants, shopping, and the beach were amazing. The rooms were very well equipped from cooking, comfy bedding, and beach essentials. The staff was very nice as well. The only downside was the construction going on during the week starting at 9am every morning. One evening when walking into our condo one of the construction workers were blowing off the second floor onto the first floor. They had been working on the concrete all day above us. Concrete has silica in it and we both got it in our eyes. Minus the later we would stay here again if we could.

I work out regularly at a gym so used theirs, it was very adequate and not crowded. Loved going out on the grass to watch the sunset. The remodeled bathroom was really nice and I liked the new cupboards in the kitchen. Bed was very comfortable.

The Carlsbad In Beach Resort is a charming, beautiful, well-organized vacation destination in a perfect setting. The front desk was able to accommodate us with an amazing ocean view room which just happened to be available. Staff extremely friendly. Location can't be beat for walking to restaurants and shops. Grocery store convenient with a short drive.

One bedroom unit was good. The mini kitchen was ok/on the small side, but included all the utensils, dishes etc. Wifi was excellent and the room was comfortable. The resort is very close to the beach and shops/restaurants, all within walking distance.

everything was provides from beach chairs, towels, pool toys for kids, miniature golf, basketball, horseshoes - you name it. Units were well equipped even to providing salt and pepper. Nice touch for a timeshare.

The location is "right in the middle of the Southern California Coast" - directly across the street from the beach. Legoland is 2 miles away. San Diego is 40 minutes away and Disneyland is an hour away. The sofa had a decent hide-a-bed and the bathroom was huge for a one bedroom. Jacuzzi tub and gas stove.

Great that the adult pool and hot tub were open until midnight, so we could use it after an evening out. They were large and very clean. The printed materials and suggestions provided by the resort were very helpful. However, some suggestions for evening entertainment, e.g. local places with musical entertainment , would have been helpful.

Sauna on the roof deck was a nice bonus feature we used several evenings. Close to bike trails, we rode to Lowes resort and Bay Ferry Landing. The historical walking tour was fun and informative. Try the Gelato shop, great flavors!

The resort charges $14/day for a RESORT FEE but they have beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, sand toys and bikes for use (and the bikes are very well maintained), DVDs, coffee and tea; Sunday Margaritas. The pools and restaurants at Lowes Resort are included---free parking validation.
